Description: The Los Alamos Photography Club (LAPC) will be hosting its annual photography show for 2013 at the Mesa Public Library from Monday, March 4 through Friday March 29. Photos should be dropped off at the Library Saturday, March 2. Non-club members are encouraged to limit their entries to no more than three photos. There will be LAPC representatives present from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 2 to receive them. Participants should pick up their entries Saturday, March 30. All photos should have a wire across the back for hanging or they may not be able to be hung as the serrated hangers and small rings on the back of some frames do not work with gallery hangers. Photos will be hung in the library 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 3. Anyone, who submits a photo, is invited to hang photos ... so bring a hammer, a pair of needle-nose pliers and a tape measure if possible. The opening reception is 5:30 p.m., Monday, March 4 and participants are asked to bring some sort of finger food for the opening. Description: Sunset strolls are a great way to end your day. Enjoy a leisurely one-hour ranger-guided walk through sand dunes and learn about the geology, plants, and animals of this unique area. Program starts at the sign along Dunes Drive about five miles from the visitor center. No charge for the program. A $3.00 per person (16 years and older) entrance fee does apply to enter the monument. Programs are offered daily.
